Raspberry Buttermilk Cake

If you'd like to try a recipe for a moist and not overly sweet cake, this one is it! When baked, the raspberries give off a sweet scent. As the recipe says, you could use any type of berry. I dusted it with powdered sugar for an even more festive appearance. It makes for such an elegant dessert while still being so simple to make. Perfect to take to any party for the upcoming holiday season.

Raisin Walnut Bread

When the weather starts to cool down, I begin sorting through all my recipes I saved over the hot Summer that required turning the oven on. It's just too hot to bake bread when it's over 100 degrees outside. Luckily, this week really started to feel like a changed season, so what better way to welcome Fall than by baking this recipe, raisin and walnut bread. So hearty and delicious.

What you will need
Be sure to use instant yeast.

This bread is delicious for a sandwich paired with brie cheese and pear or apple slices. Very Fall

Gorgonzola Walnut Crackers

I must admit one of my guilty pleasures is watching The Barefoot Contessa. Her recipes are so classic {of course it doesn't hurt that she has my dream kitchen either!} and every time I watch an episode, I'm extremely tempted to run to the kitchen and make whatever it is she made. This recipe is one I really couldn't wait to try! Anyone who knows me, knows how much I love blue cheese. Paired with a drizzle of honey on top, these crackers are delish! Literally this recipe has two steps, super easy. I highly recommend giving it a try, although the next time I make these, I am going lighten up on the salt. And if you're a fan of Ina Garten as well, you'll know she is never shy when using salt ;)

Nestle Toll House Cookies - A Classic With A Twist

You can't get any more classic than a chocolate chip cookie. Although I do like to try out new recipes, I always seem to go back to this one. I do have a small twist to this recipe though; since I prefer my cookies a little on the crispy side {and so does my family ;)}, I over beat the dough. This makes for a smoother texture and the cookies become thinner and crispier than your average cookie.

What you will need

crispy edges make for a sweeter cookie in my opinion

Pumpkin Pancakes

In celebration of the first day of Fall, I decided to switch up the regular routine Sunday morning pancakes for Pumpkin pancakes -recipe found here- They were delicious, and the whipped egg whites truly gave them a light and fluffy texture. I highly recommend giving this recipe a try.

Moroccan Honey Chicken

The answer to my last post is this recipe, Moroccan Honey Chicken. The first time I had this dish was in San Diego at a Moroccan restaurant, it was absolutely delicious! The recipe is really easy to make, so I hope you give it a try.
Moroccan Honey Chicken with Prunes, Marcona Almonds topped with sesame seeds.

*note: the recipe didn't call for raisins, but I added some after I added the water for the sauce)
